Boll & Branch launched in 2013 with a focus on crafting socially and environmentally friendly sheets. To that end, Boll & Branch became the first linen manufacturer to become Fair Trade Certified.
While the company started out making sheets, its product line has expanded to include other products for the home, including pillows, blankets, quilts, towels, a shower curtain, a bath mat, a robe, a mattress, a mattress topper, and a mattress protector.
Over the years, the company’s selection of sheets has expanded to include four main options. All four sets are produced from organic cotton. The Signature, Flannel, and Luxe sets use a sateen weave, while the Percale collection has a percale weave. Weave affects the appearance, feel, and performance of sheet sets.
Our Boll & Branch Sheets review will explain the construction, materials, pricing, sizing, and design options. We’ll then go on to detail care instructions, customer reviews, and company policies.

Several factors affect the overall feel of sheets. While materials and construction may be the first things shoppers look at, sizing is also a critical factor since the fit of the sheets will determine their tautness. Customers may also consider other factors, like pricing, design, care, and company policies.
While all of Boll & Branch’s sheet sets use organic cotton and hold GOTS, OEKO-TEX, and Fair Trade certifications, they can be organized into four main categories based on weave and design. Each set has a distinct look and feel that may appeal to some sleepers.
Signature
The Signature collection is Boll & Branch’s best-selling set. These sheets are 300-thread count and use a sateen weave, which gives them a soft, light feel that’s appropriate for all seasons. The fabric has a matte finish and drapes well for a smooth, finished look. However, sleepers who prefer more warmth or greater breathability may prefer one of Boll & Branch’s other options. Additionally, sateen is typically more prone to pilling than other weaves.
Percale
The Percale set has a smooth, matte finish that feels soft to the touch. This 360-thread count set is exceptionally breathable, making it a popular option with people who live in warm climates and those who tend to sleep hot. Percale has a notable crispness, which some sleepers enjoy, but this also means they are more likely to wrinkle or make noise.
Flannel
The Flannel Sheet Set is Boll & Branch’s coziest option, weighing 5 to 6 ounces for extra warmth. This fabric uses a sateen weave. It is brushed and sheared to give the sheets a soft, fuzzy feel well suited to cold climates. While the Boll & Branch Flannel Sheet Set is more breathable than some flannels, it may still be too warm for those who tend to sleep hot.
Luxe
The Luxe collection features sheets and pillowcases made from organic long-staple cotton with a 500-thread count. A sateen weave gives these items a silky-soft feel, while French seams and a mitered hem add to their luxurious design. This is Boll & Branch’s most expensive sheet set. Customers can choose between white and ivory for their color scheme.
Since Boll & Branch sheets are crafted from high-quality organic cotton, they cost more than the average sheet set. However, their quality and durability may make them a worthwhile investment. While you can purchase sheets as a complete set, Boll & Branch also sells pillowcases and some flat and fitted sheets as separates.

Care instructions may vary between different types of sheets, so it is important to follow the instructions specific to your sheet set to ensure you don’t damage them. In general, Boll & Branch’s sheets are machine washable in cold water on the gentle cycle with like colors and no bleach. They can also be tumble dried on low and pressed with a warm iron for a crisper look. The sheets may naturally shrink slightly during their first wash, but they are initially oversized so this shrinkage should enhance their fit on the mattress.
You can typically extend the lifespan on your sheet set by following manufacturer care instructions. However, most sheets will last longer if you avoid bleach, wash them in cold or warm water, use the gentle cycle, and avoid overdrying them.
