Welcome!
Hello, and thank you for stopping by!
What I offer you here is personalized, holistic, mind-body health education and service, focusing on freedom from stress effects as the centerpoint of your optimal health. We will examine how you can recognize your signs and symptoms of distress, identify and uproot the causes, and/or retrain yourself in your stress management skills. Much of this comes down to how you perceive and communicate with yourself and with others: from a sense of compassion and understanding, or from a place of pain, confusion, criticism and guilt.
“Stress” has become a household word these days: even children are learning this word for the pervasive sense of pressure that shortens tempers, creates accidents, amplifies illnesses and obstructs creativity. Stress is also known to be a major factor in anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship difficulties, insomnia, and a host of physical ailments such as pain, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and digestive disorders.
Tension seems to be epidemic in our society. But of course, many stressors are unavoidable, and it is only our reactions that we ultimately have any control over. The path towards self-understanding can help us learn how to take charge of our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual responses to life’s changes. Change creates stress, and in our fast-changing world, we need effective tools to help us maintain a healthy balance. My goal here is to help you acquire those tools.
My name is Tina Taylor. I have over 25 years of work experience in holistic health: I am a Registered Nurse, hold a Master’s degree in Counseling, and meet national qualifications as a Yoga instructor. In addition to seeing clients as individuals and as couples, I periodically teach Yoga, Meditation, Compassionate Communication (NVC), and Relaxation at several community sites, and occasionally at local colleges LBCC and OSU. I volunteer as a trained mediator in the public courts and community, and as a NVC trainer in the Oregon State Penitentiary. I offer private and group sessions, seminars, consulting, and custom-designed retreats. I look forward to being of assistance to you.
