Hello, and thank you for stopping by!

Would you like more balance, peace, understanding and happiness in your life? I am a Registered Nurse with a Master’s degree in Counseling. I specialize in holistic, mind-body Stress Management. My blend of counseling, coaching, communications, nursing, bodywork, mediation, meditation, teaching, and lifelong esoteric studies gives me, I believe, a unique perspective that can offer you deep, holistic understanding, with a very practical rootedness. My goal is to help you understand yourself and your experience more healingly; I offer educated and agenda-free feedback. Complete respect, safety and confidentiality are assured. I am LGBTQ comfy.

My counseling style is based on believing that our behaviors are needs-based and stress-influenced. I believe we have our own answers, and that counseling helps us move through distress to access these answers. I believe seeking counseling speaks of personal growth and mental wellness, not of mental illness. In addition to graduate school, my studies and work in Transpersonal Psychology, Compassionate Communication ( Nonviolent / NVC), Conflict Resolution, the Enneagram (Personality), Chakras, Yoga, Prisoner Rehabilitation/ Restorative Justice, and Meditation have also been influences.  Serving as a bridge between the traditional and the “alternative” has been a lifelong pleasure and privilege.

“Stress” is the pervasive sense of pressure that shortens tempers, creates accidents, amplifies illnesses and obstructs creativity. Stress is also known to be a major factor in anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship difficulties, insomnia, and a host of physical ailments such as pain, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and digestive disorders. What  I offer you here is personalized, holistic, mind-body health education and service, focusing on freedom from stress effects as the centerpoint of your optimal health. We will examine how you can recognize your  signs and symptoms of distress, identify and uproot the causes, and/or retrain yourself in your stress management skills. Much of this comes down to how you perceive and communicate with yourself and with others: from a sense of compassion and understanding, or from a place of pain, confusion, criticism and guilt.

Many stressors are unavoidable, and so it is only our reactions that we ultimately have any control over. The path towards self-understanding can help us learn how to take charge of our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual responses to life’s changes. Change creates stress, and in our fast-changing world, we need effective tools to help us maintain a healthy balance. My goal here  is to help you acquire those tools.
